I grew up in Slovenia, a small European country with a long tradition of adventurous travellers. The travel bug found me early, and I explored many corners of this wonderful planet. Yet Africa kept coming up in conversation as something different. People said it was special, and they were right.
My first encounter with Africa was Tanzania, and it captured me immediately. Its natural beauty, energy, and sheer diversity of landscapes felt like nothing I had known before.
By profession, I am an economist with a background in management and marketing. Still, I have always had an adventurous heart. So when the chance came to promote Tanzania, I did not hesitate. It became both my work and my passion.
Over the years, that passion grew into service. For more than a decade, I sat on the Board of TATO, the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators. There, I helped shape the future of Tanzanian tourism.
