PURELY TANZANIA

Parks & Reserves

Tanzania takes its wild places seriously. It is home to 22 National Parks, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, 13 Game Reserves, 38 Game Controlled Areas, and around 120 National Cultural Heritage Sites. Together, they cover nearly a third of the entire country. That is an extraordinary commitment to protecting the natural world, and one of the reasons we have been bringing travellers here since 2004.

Inside the national parks, wildlife comes first. No farming, no settlements, just lodges and tented camps for those who come to witness it all. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area holds a unique place in this story: the Maasai people have lived alongside its wildlife for generations, and that balance remains protected to this day.

We know these landscapes well. Browse a selection of our safari itineraries, or get in touch and we will design something made entirely around you.
