  • ITINERARY:

Elephants by Tarangire River DAY 1: Arusha – Tarangire
Depart Arusha for a game drive in Tarangire National Park, where a large concentration of Elephants can be seen all year round. Thousands of animals migrate from Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River looking for water. Buffalos and Lions can be quite easily found, but only the lucky ones will spot Leopards and Black Rhinoceros! Picnic lunch in the park. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

DAY 2: Tarangire – Olduvai Gorge - Serengeti
LeopardAfter breakfast head off to the world’s most famous national park, Serengeti National Park, with an optional stop at »the cradle of mankind«, as Olduvai Gorge is also called. After lunch, search for »the Big Five« continues. Chances to see Elephants, Buffalos and Lions are very high but for Leopards, who are mostly nocturnal animals, as well as Black Rhinoceros, whose numbers have been extremely reduced due to poaching, will be hard but not impossible to find. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

LionessesDAY 3: Serengeti
The whole day is dedicated seeking for »the Big Five«. »Endless Plains«, as Serengeti was named by Maasai, is a home to more than four million different animals, including thousands of Elephants, Buffalos and Lions, several hundreds of Leopards and dozens of Black Rhinoceros. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

DAY 4: Serengeti – Maasai Boma – Ngorongoro
African or Cape BuffaloThe last chance for »the Big Five« in Serengeti. After lunch an optional stop at colourful Maasai tribe, who used to defend themselves from Lions and other animals only with spears and bare hands! Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

DAY 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara
After breakfast descend inside »the eight wonder of the world«, the Ngorongoro Crater abundant with wildlife and where you will have another option to search for »the Big Five«. The likelihood to spot Black Rhinoceros here is pretty high, since in the past years a lot has been done for their preservation! Picnic lunch. In the afternoon a drive towards Lake Manyara National Park for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

DAY 6: Lake Manyara – Arusha
A Lionesses making way for Elephantswhole day game drive in lush »little park« Lake Manyara National Park, nestled under the Great Rift Valley. Here the concentration of Elephants per sq km is Tanzania’s highest! Beside them you can spot a wide range of different animals including unusual »tree-climbing Lions« resting on Acacia branches six to seven meters above the ground! In the afternoon a drive back to Arusha town.

End of tour!
