BoomslangDAY 1: Arusha – Snake Park - Tarangire
Depart Arusha in the morning for Snake Park, where you can observe some of the world’s venomous snakes (Green and Black Mamba, Puff Adder, Gaboon Viper etc.) and other reptiles including Lizards, Chameleons and Nile Crocodiles from a safe distance; Maasai outside the park can also arrange for camel rides. After lunch a drive to Tarangire National Park for the afternoon game drive, where large families of Elephants can be seen all year round. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

Tarangire ElephantsDAY 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro
»Sunrise game drive« in Tarangire National Park, which is the second only to the Serengeti ecosystem for its density of wildlife during the dry seasons; thousands of animals migrate from Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River looking for water. After lunch a drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp  

DAY 3: Ngorongoro – Ngorongoro Crater - Ngorongoro
After breakfast descend inside »the eight wonder of the world«, the Ngorongoro Crater abundant with wildlife and where you will have the whole day to search for »the Big Five«. Picnic lunch. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

Ngorongoro LionDAY 4: Ngorongoro - Serengeti
After breakfast head off to the world’s most famous national park, Serengeti National Park, a home to more than four million different animals including Lions, Spotted Hyenas, Leopards, Cheetahs, Servals, Caracals, Giraffes, Buffalos, Topis, Hartebeests, Waterbucks, Impalas, Reedbucks, Bushbucks, Kirk’s Dik-diks, Hippopotamus, Crocodiles, Warthogs and diverse birdlife. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

DAY 5: Serengeti – Olduvai Gorge – Maasai Boma – Lake Manyara
Olduvai Gorge»Sunrise game drive« around »Endless Plains«, as Serengeti was named by Maasai. Later a drive towards Lake Manyara National Park for dinner and overnight with optional stop at »the cradle of mankind« as Olduvai Gorge is also called, and/or a colourful Maasai tribe, who still live the same way as they have for centuries! Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

Black (Samango) Monkey or SykesDAY 6: Lake Manyara
A whole day is dedicated to explore Lake Manyara National Park, situated at the footsteps of the Great Rift Valley. This lush »little park« provides a home to a wide range of different animals including Elephants, Buffalos, Giraffes, Hippos and more than 400 species of birds, but its most famous and unusual inhabitants are the »tree-climbing Lions«, who can be seen resting on Acacia branches six to seven meters above the ground! Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Tented Camp/Camp

DAY 7: Lake Manyara – Arusha National Park - Arusha
Crowned CraneAfter breakfast a drive for Arusha National Park game viewing. At first a few-hour walking safari, where you will join Giraffes, Buffalos, Zebras, various antelopes and fluffy-tailed Black and White Colobus Monkeys! After lunch a game drive to Momela Lakes full of Pink Flamingos and volcanic Ngurdoto Crater. Return to Arusha town in late afternoon hours.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE

On 1 January 2006 the following actions from Tanzanian Government came into effect and resulted in the rise of the 2006 price of Tanzania's Best Tours:
1) 24-hour government fee to enter Serengeti National Park increased for 70%.
2) Ngorongoro Crater Fee quadrupled and only half-day crater tour is allowed.

In addition, on 1 July 2006 the following actions from Tanzanian Government came into effect and resulted in the additional rise of the 2006 price of all Tanzania's Best Tours:
1) 24-hour government fee to enter Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park increased for 40%.
2) Camping Fees for Basic Campsites increased for 50% and 25% for Special Campsites.

3) Vehicle Fees in all National Parks doubled.

  • All prices are quoted in US dollars (US$) per person.
  • The prices are inclusive of: park entrance fees, Lodge/Hotel/Camping costs, full board/a cook (three meals per day while on tour), rescue fees, transfers, English speaking guide, 4x4 vehicle, camping equipment if applicable (tents, matresses, sleeping bags, pillows, table and chairs), unlimited game viewing within park opening hours.
  • The prices are exclusive of: items of personal nature (e.g. toiletries, phone calls, souvenirs, bottled water, beverages etc.), medical and personal insurance, accommodation and meals before/after the tour, tipping to the crew.
  • In Ngorongoro Conservation Area a stop-by at Olduvai Gorge and/or Maasai Boma is optional and not included in the price of the tour.
  • Additional AAR Action - Emergency Rescue & Evacuation Insurance (also called AAR Tourist Cover) can be obtained in our office for only 1 USD per day!
