1st JULY 2008 FEES INCREASE

Please note that there is no change in the rates except for the introduced conservation fee in the Seleous Game Reserve, levying flat rates of concession fees on accommodation properties situated in the conserved areas which are due to start on 1st July 2008. (more)

ELECTRONIC CARDS FOR PARK FEES PAYMENTS

Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), informs Tour Operators
and the Public that with effect from 1st November 2007 payment of all Park fees will ONLY be through Electronic Cards at all Gates already installed with the facilities. Payment by Cash and Cheques will therefore NOT be accepted.

2007 INCREASE of
NGORONGORO FEES

On 1 July 2007 the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Aurhority will implement
additional 70% increase of
the Ngorongoro Conservation Area fee as well as 100% increase of the Ngorongoro Crater fee
and 50% camping feee, resulting in the rise of 2007 prices of all Safari Tours which include sightseeing of this natural wonder (IMPORTANT: everybody who wish to visit the Ngorongoro Crater needs to pay Ngorongoro Conservation Area fee as well as the Ngorongoro Crater fee!)!

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

From 1 January 2006 the 24-hour government fee to enter the famous Serengeti National Park increased for 70% resulting in the rise of 2006 prices of Safari Tours which include sightseeing of this legendary park!

NGORONGORO CRATER TOUR and CRATER FEE

In order to reduce congestion of vehicles in the Ngorongoro Crater and thus contribute to the conservation of this precious area for the future generations, from
1 January 2006 only a half day crater tour is possible and the crater fee quadrupled thus increasing 2006 prices of Safari Tours including the visit to this natural wonder!

YELLOW FEVER UPDATE

We have received notification from the Ministry of Health and Social welfare Head quarters, DSM  informing that ''HEALTH SURVEILLANCE DESKS" which was removed in 2001, have been  reinstalled in all BORDERS, PORTS AND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS.

Procedure:
On arrival the passengers must first go to the health desk then to Immigration desk - no passport will be accepted at immigration desk without a stamp from Health dptm. (more)

VISA FEE INCREASE
FOR USA CITIZENS

Tourist Visa Fee for American Citizens has been raised from
50 USD to 100 USD
.  The visa is now called "MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA" and is valid for three months.  This is a reciprocal arrangement between the two sovereign countries. Please be advised accordingly!

Security and safety has become a major issue in aviation lately.
As of the end of August 2006, also Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania has started with the implementation of specific actions including thorough screening of all baggage and passengers, limited items in hand baggage and restricted access to certain areas.(more)

In order to enhance safety on this risky route, the attached measures from TANAPA have been instituted.  Please note that, for immediate measures a deadline of 28th February, 2008 has been set.  Note also that, all climbers through the Western Breach will be required to sign an indemnity certificate to accept that they are full aware of the risks involved in using the route.
