Arusha National Park is the only park in the Northern Circuit where you can have a Walking Safari!

During your walking safari in Arusha National Park you will be accompanied by an armed Ranger to protect you from wildlife.

  • ITINERARY:

Flamingos or "Flame-birds"DAY 1: Arusha – Arusha National Park - Arusha
In the morning depart Arusha for Arusha National Park for all-day game viewing. First you will participate in a few-hour walking safari, where you will mingle with Giraffes, Buffalos, Zebras, various antelopes and search for fluffy-tailed Black and White Colobus Monkeys, for which the park is most known!

After lunch you will see the rest of the park in a vehicle; alkaline Momela Lakes which attract thousands of Pink Flamingos and volcanic Ngurdoto Crater. Return to Arusha town in late afternoon hours.

End of tour!

On 1 July 2006 the following actions from Tanzanian Government came into effect and resulted in the rise of the price of Hike & Drive Tours:
1) 24-hour government fee to enter Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park increased for 40%.
2) Camping Fees for Basic Campsites increased for 50% and 25% for Special Campsites.
3) Vehicle Fees in all National Parks doubled.
